Journals and Website

AACI recommends that you undertake further reading including industry relevant newspapers, journals and websites.

Due to the expense please speak to your local clinic and library (eg. The Veterinary Nurse Journal). The United Kingdom also provides access many journals via the RCVS Library Trust.  This is a low cost subscription model for online journals for veterinary nurses.

Please visit http://knowledge.rcvs.org.uk/ for further details.

Please note that students should be very careful using and referencing resources from the UK and other jurisdictions without disclaimers and close monitoring. The structure of the Veterinary Nursing sector in the UK is very, very different as VET Nurses are able to undertake tasks that Australian Veterinary Nurses are prohibited from undertaking under Australian legislation as they are classed as acts of Veterinary Science.

Associations

AACI recommends membership to a range of industry Associations due to the access to resources..

These Associations include:

  • Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia
  • NZ Veterinary Nursing Association,

  • Pet Association of Australia
